The Pioneer Day Raft And Run

Every year Paragon Wealth Management sponsors the “Live Your Dream” scholarships for struggling, single moms and fundraises with generous sponsors for this worthy cause. This year we are hosting an exciting new fundraiser race, it’s called The Pioneer Day Raft and Run. For more information and/or to register go to www.raftandrun.com.

To our knowledge, this is the first-ever raft and run race (if not nationwide for sure in Utah)! We would like you, your family and friends to come join us in this exciting event.  Each participant will get a Custom Designed Race Medal, 5 Mile Rafting trip down Scenic Provo Canyon, 5K Run from Vivian Park to Canyon Glen Park, Premium Dry Fit Race T-Shirt, Bus Transportation from Canyon Glen to Race Start and the race will be electronically timed by RFID.

You can also share support for this incredible cause and the moms by sponsoring the 2013 Raft and Run at either the Silver, Gold or Diamond levels.

The raft/run begins at Canyon Glen Park (Provo Canyon) at 7:00 a.m. We plan to load the buses for the start of the rafting leg at 7:45 a.m. While on route to the raft launch site, participants will be given race instructions and maps. Teams of eight to twelve will disembark on the river, a raft guide will steer based on your team captain’s instructions. Once your raft docks, each team member will be timed to the finish of the 5k run.  Click here for registration prices and details.

Dave Young, founder and president of Paragon Wealth Management, created the “Live Your Dream Scholarship” in 2010. There will be multiple scholarships awarded up to $2,000 each and can be used for tuition for any university in Utah for an undergraduate or graduate student. The scholarship was in inspired by his daughter, Katie. Katie’s husband, Byron, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2005. The submission deadline for the next scholarship is July 2, 2013.

Paragon's Live Your Dream 5K

 

Paragon is hosting it's second annual Live Your Dream 5K Run/Walk on May 21. All proceeds from the race will go directly to a scholarship for single mothers who are widowed or divorced. We invite you to join us if you will be near Provo that weekend. Below are the details.

WHAT:  The Live Your Dream 5K Run/Walk
WHEN:  May 21, 2011
WHERE:  Begins and ends at Fort Utah Park (200 N. Geneva Road in Provo). Race is along the Provo River Trail.
TIME:  Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., race starts at 9 a.m.
WHY:  To raise money for a scholarship for single mothers who are widowed or divorced.

COST:  $20 before May 1, $25 after, $30 race day
